The Reluctant Entrepreneur
When I was getting started in marketing, I had the opportunity to intern with an amazing brand strategy firm in Seattle: Parker LePla. While in Seattle, I got to learn the ins and outs of branding, experience client interaction for the first time, and I was able to participate on some incredible consulting projects for clients in the area.
One of the most influencing people in this agency was Lynn Parker, one of the company’s co-founders. Lynn is a great consultant, a master at brand theory, and an incredible coach to those of us getting our start in the field. I was lucky to meet her, and even luckier to work with and learn from her during my short time “up north.”
The other day, I heard that Lynn is publishing a new book, The Reluctant Entrepreneur. This book is a self-published collection of discussions by Lynn about her experiences with entrepreneurship. I know Lynn’s unique take on entrepreneurship, and I’m excited to get my pre-ordered copy of her newest book. I think anyone who has ever thought of starting a company should get to know Lynn’s philosophies a little better – maybe you should pick up a copy of her book, too.
The official publication date is tomorrow, but there’s nothing to stop you from ordering in advance! :-)
