I need your help …

Recently, I mentioned the fact that I’m preparing a book about branding and strategy.  Unfortunately, I’ve also realized I have a LOT of content to put together.  This means I need to ask for your help.  What, exactly, would you want a book on brand strategy to cover?

We’ve already talked about a great deal of things:

  • Customer identification
  • Segmentation strategy
  • Brand equity measurement
  • Viral marketing
  • Etc …

I will include at least one case study for each chapter, but I want YOU to tell me what chapters to include.  My goal over the next several months is to begin writing ‘pillar posts‘ covering the content you want me to include.  This will give me the chance to flesh out material a bit more in-depth while giving you the opportunity to actively participate in the development of this piece.

Let’s sweeten the deal a bit.  If you suggest a chapter, and I elect to write on that topic, I will send you a copy of the book once it’s printed.  That way you can show all your friends how you contributed to writing the next great American business strategy book (yeah, I’m ambitious, can you tell?).

Please leave your comments today so I can get cracking on the table of contents!

  1. The big issue we have that relates (I think) to branding in the web 2.0 world has to do with generating leads. How do we cut through the clutter of hundreds of emails that so many people receive each day to get our message to the ones who want and need it? When I worked for a non-profit organization 10 years ago I used to say the people in our organization needed to see or hear something at least 5 times before they even realize that they heard it. Now I suspect it is closer to 50 times. Branding should be able to help cut through that clutter, but how?

There. Now send me a copy of the book. :-)
