Today marks my 30th consecutive post in the 30 Days of Blogging series. That’s more than 9,000 words written and published over the past month without missing a single update. Considering where I started with my blogging talents several years ago (I used to hand-code posts maybe once a month when I got bored), I see this as quite an accomplishment!![]()
I also want to give a shout out to all of the brave bloggers who worked their way through this month with me. You can follow most of them on Twitter as time goes on and our blogs become richer and more refined. I have no doubt that having a month’s worth of stellar content under our belt will keep us going as we begin a new year of adventure in just a couple of days.
When I first started blogging, it was on the recommendation of Dr. Sean Harry, my career coach at the time and a man whose friendship I value still today. He urged me to do something online to back up a bold statement on my resume that I was an expert at using web technologies. Ironic, as at the time I had zero web presence myself.
Since then, I’ve managed to build a fantastic blog that’s currently entering its 3rd year of operation. I’ve built a fantastic web 2.0 consulting company, and created a rich resume and portfolio of past projects and clients. While I’m still not an “expert” in web development by any means, I feel this experience has definitely given me the credentials with which to give sage advice and support the efforts of other bloggers.
While I won’t be publishing another collection of my blog posts just yet, though, I do plan to sit down and refine some of my concepts and ideas into a book format. I’ve already penned a great deal for a sales guidebook, and I’m well on my way to putting together a marketing analysis package as well. I have yet to settle on an exact topic or format, but I’ll keep you apprised as I move through the drafting and editing processes.
Today ends just another installment of the 30 Days of Blogging. I look forward to many more to come, and the countless thousands of words that remain to be written!
