On Writing and Other Things

Update: Finally, my computer agrees with me and I’ve gotten you an image of the cover. Enjoy!

This week was big in the world of publishing.  That is to say it was big in my world of publishing.  As most of you know, I started a publishing company in April called Jumping Duck Media.  Since then, I’ve put together a multitude of websites and blogs, and actually started working on a couple of book ideas.  That, though, is all on the me side of things.

As a publisher, I get to work with other people, too!  I’m happy to say that this week was huge for Jumping Duck.  Our first fiction novel is nearing publication; I got the advanced reading copies in the mail on Monday and started sending them out for reviews.  Hopefully the actual book will be in print by the end of the month.

Also, I shipped my first book to the printer on Wednesday.  It’s a self-help/career education book by my friend, Sean Harry.  All of the paperwork is registered, and I should be receiving the proof copy from the printer any day now!  Two months ago I thought I’d never make it this far … as per my last post, I was standing at the bottom of the cliff.  Now, halfway up the rock, I realize that reaching the top is a possible achievement.  Woo hoo!
