WordCamp is coming to Portland in less than 2 weeks! Considering I build just about everything in WordPress, I think attending would be a great idea. It should be exciting to hear about the new things people are doing with WP, and I look forward to the chance to make more connections with people actively pursing WP-based projects.
Speaking of projects, I owe you an update.
Several months ago, I started alluding to hot5ive. It’s a social networking utility that allows people to rate and rank their favorite things. I started on the idea in April sometime, but it’s been on the backburner since then due to a schedule far busier than I’d like. The good news, production is picking back up!
We’ve recruited another set of eyes into the project and should have some prototype features ready for testing sometime soon. It looks to be a fun project and, like most everything else I do online, will be based on WordPress … although this time, I’ll be playing with WordPress MU. It should be interesting!
