The first thing any entrepreneur looking to enter the market must do is survey the landscape. While standing atop a hill and peering down at the city might sound like a fun activity, this has nothing to do with the landscape I’m talking about.
There are three questions you have to answer in detail before entering the market:
I upgraded to the newest version of WordPress last night, and can’t seem to get it to work properly. Every time you attempt to visit http://mindshare.eamann.com you are redirected to the main website. Access of http://www.eamann.com/blog seems unaffected, but no internal or external bookmarks are directed at this link.
Starting tonight, until I get this fixed, you will see the “Maintenance Mode” screen when you access the blog. Regular posting will (hopefully) return Monday.
Baking cookies today is easy. A quick trip to the grocery store avails the choice of chocolate chip, sugar, and even peanut butter cookie dough. Take the dough home, slap it on a cookie sheet, and grandma’s creations come warm right out of the oven as soon as 8 minutes later.
I did my laundry last night and forgot to remove the collar stays from a few of my shirts. These are the little plastic things that keep the ends of your collar pointy. All of my collars came out of the laundry limp and rolled up. I was very disappointed.
PR can be a powerful weapon, but it is also a two-edged sword. Good PR can build your reputation in the community and better your chances at scoring new customers. Bad PR can damage your existing customer base and cost you much needed sales throughout the year. You can’t really predict what kind of PR your company will receive, though, so it is best to plan for the worst and hope for the best.
